Rabbit’s Tarot is an experimental art project that was created spontaneously or by accident in the atelier of my friend, occult painter, Andrzej Urbanowicz, who invented psychedelic art in Poland and had his occult circle “Oneiron” in the late 1960’s.
It is an act of digital automatism, documenting a trip of White Rabbit in the oldest centre (circle, chakram) of occult and psychedelic art in Poland. Rabbit journeys through the various popcultural artifacts, fetishes, magical objects, more or less significant parts of the atelier. His journey is observed through the looking glass of photo camera. You could call it secondary ready made in a spirit of surrealism. You could find here Alice from the Wonderland or your uncle-trickster Aleister. Every picture opens to the various interpretations of tarot’s Greater Arcana. You can treat it as a magic tool, an art object or pastiche of kitchy tarot decks spreading with the same fertility like rabbits. Do what thou wilt, but remember… follow the white rabbit.
